That sucks in a major way. I'm sorry to hear that. I know how you feel. My Harley was stolen right out of my garage - with no insurance. I was lucky to get it back a year later - but in pieces (it's still in pieces) :(

When your "pride and joy" gets stolen, it leaves an empty pit in your gut. :mad:

Man that blows. I would be extremely pissed. Contact the police often and get in touch with an officer who you can contact directly about the case. Give them all the details. call your insurance company and let them know what has happened. Make sure to file a police report, or you may not be able to claim insurance if there is damage when they get your vehicle back. Did you leave the title in the car?

This kind of thing makes me want to get an alarm installed and a engine kill switch so that I can remotely kill the engine if I find that it has been stolen. A GPS monitoring device would also be nice. I may look into this. I hate thieves with a passion.

You can get GPS monitors over here. They tell you where your car is if it's stolen and are pretty accurate from what I hear :p

I'd love to sneak up on a thief who's just stolen my car and is trying to play it cool...and wack them in the head with a lead pipe or something.

well the insurance company has phoned me today stating that they have found my car!

The stereo and console have been ripped out and I do not know the condition of the car.

I will try to see it tonight or tomorrow as soon as I can get a chence.

it is very frustrating to have your car stolen.

you plan your day around transportation and when the plan fails and you must use alternate roots.
the whole day is &^%&^% hehe.....

the stats here in bc are that if its not found in 3 days its 95 % gone forever

they found mine in 20 days and they ripped out the stereo and thrashed the console and ripped the interior to get the speakers and left dents all over it and ripped off the gas lock.

they even took the emblem that says high performance suspension :(

the claims adjuster says they don't want to pay to get it fixed and it may get written off


the battery is dead and i gave them a number of my repair facility for an estimate and i will know tuesday what the outcome will be.

they probably bagged the motor but i don't know

Oh, lets hope the insurer classes it as a write-off... u dont want them to fix it knowing that its been through hell! Was the car insured for what its worth or more? or lots less? Might be time to upgrade like Dehc with his fancy eclipse... good luck anyway.

those cars are easy to get into.. I used to lock my keys in my camaro all the time.. a flat 4-5 inch chisel and a coat hanger of the wire variety were all it took :D

well the insurance man called me today to say that they have decided that it is not worth repairing the body damage on my car.

it only had some minor dents and the steering column was thrashed and some of the interior.

They have decided to give me a check for $3,015cdn

hi everyone!

here is the update to this story.

i bought the 1987 trans am today.

i got it for $2,600 and needs an alternater and 2 front gold gta mags
someone stole them and their is camaro rims on ythe front now.

it has a v8 305 tuneport injection engine with digital dash and alpine stereo.

the engine are the ones in some corvettes

there are 2 cars in the paper for $7,000 each but they are mint and this one is needs minor body touchups but i don't mind.
the engine roars and drives great and I will get it home sunday when the transfer offices are open.
