View Full Version : Themes and Visual Styles rik October 24th, 2003, 17:07 PM I have recently gotten interested in "skinning" my XP and am currently using StyleXP which I really like. I have also tried Window Blinds with most of it's inherent packages like Icon Packager, and I like some of their features also. Use this reg hack to enable themes - It allows uncertified .msstyle files to be applied to the system. Patching the uxtheme.dll does the same thing as stylexp without using a third party app Patch For SP1: http://www.neowin.net/downloads/uxtheme_v101.zip I use Iconpackager to change some system icons and Microangelo to change some individual icons. Easy to setup and use. It patchs the uxtheme.dll automatically I believe. vizionz November 21st, 2004, 22:58 PM I use Flyakite to change all icons and sounds etc. .msstyles as "themes" Avedesk to run some desklets, I also use konfabulator in the same purpose as AveDesk :) Sometimes I use Aquadock too, but not very often anymore well, that's it i guess. here is a shot of my current desktop http://upl.silentwhisper.net/uplfolders/upload6/my_desktop.JPG unisol April 4th, 2005, 16:13 PM i use windowblinds and icon packager and give it a LH style look, then a add desktop side bar to finish it off transparency manager in ds does wonders for the taskbar
