Hello. When I go to windows update everything is fine. When I click on the office update link I get huge text on site. I don't mean big I mean HUGE!. Adjusting text size does not help much as it is still huge. I am unable to apply latest patch because I am unable to navigate to acceptance of conditions. Anyone else experiencing this?
Here is the text at smallest setting: http://www.quickbase.com/up/8q9jbnau/g/ryy/eg/va/text.JPG

:msndevil: lol, hmm mine worked fine. I hear that the more $$ you spend on M$ products the smaller the text gets...hehe
Sorry can't help ya, never saw anything like that before :p

Can someone give me the url to the actual update that I need (at office update - right after lic agreement? I think I need to go through office update because I threw away the office install files and i'm unable to install the update without windows update service. I am able to get to the licensing agreement but I am not able to scroll down to click "ok" to start the install.

I presume you are trying to install the update for Office 2003 ??
Direct link can be found in this thread.

Thanks Reverend, but as I stated in that thread and this: I cannot install that update without the help, I think, of windows update as I am missing files necessary - maybe due to discarding install files upon completion. Office update does indeed inform me of the update but I am unable to reach the install link.
This is what I see using Office2003-kb828041-client-enu.exe

I am assuming that office update service would install the update whether or not I have the missing file.

You need the CD,or the install files on your system so that the .CAB can find the necessary files to overwrite and update.

What is your Encoding setting under "view".
Should be set as "Auto-select"

have you tried a different browser, might only work with IE?
otherwise, never seen that before.

only works with IE. I forgot that I made a backup of the CD's so I got the update installed. I still have the problem with office update though.

Delete your temp internet cache, and restore defaults.
Tools > Internet Options > Advanced tab.

Thanks Reverend. I cleared cookies, cleared history, set at defaults - windows update is fine but office update still has huge text.

I updated fine yesterday, i did get asked for the office cd when installing, even when I kept installation files on drive. I had to point the updater to that directory and the CD a few times, but after a few minutes all was installed and updated properly. :D

I think I know now why it asks for the CD during the update. Cash, was yours a "Custom" install of Office or did you just install everything in the CD. I did a custom install at home but I installed the whole CD in the office.

yep conan, I did a custom install at home. It might be a small bug in the updating process from M$...
anyway, after putting in CD and also directory from installation, all is well :D

Again I say never upgrade its always a bad move best to remove Office with the original CD’s do not hack it out and install full clean version of new Office its never a clean process otherwise and even this un-install leaves the windows dir an registry in tatters there is a office clean tool that support to be very good – I have never bothered as I never play with version of apps – I wipe my laptop and clean full install its best I assure You
BTW I can not see You image the database can not find it so I can not say anything more – can You activate the link buddy
