"MandrakeSoft just announced the release of the MandrakeMove release candidate, a special desktop version of the Mandrake Linux distribution that boots live from the CD and uses a USB key (included in the retail version) to automatically store personal data. It looks a bit like Knoppix, but comes with more features, such as the capability to eject the MandrakeMove CD-ROM during its use, in order to read audio or video files from another CD! The download release candidate is available here."

woohoo!

but thank slashdot for finding great stories

now here is something everyone should know

Important note before download: If you own a LG CD-ROM drive, please read this page before downloading Mandrake 9.2: a few LG CD-ROM drives aren't fully ATAPI compliant, and can freeze by using Mandrake 9.2. If you own one of these drives please update your firmware from the LG website. If your CD drive is already frozen, use the LG procedure to restore it.
