Automatic update

How can i stop windows XP automaticly updateing cos when you right click in it you can only pause it and cant close its very anoying

try control panel and access it that way and turn it off

or try tweak xp that might do it

Right click My computer and select properties.Click the Automatic Updates tab.Put a dot in Turn off automatic updating,i want to update my computer manually.Then click apply.:)

THanks alot that thing was so anoying slowing downmy internet.

Having dial up doesnt help either :(
