Spyware is driving me nuts

went to a website that made 20 popups on my computer and was surprised to see a spyware install right in front of my eyes on my computer that actually showed a progress meter notifying me how long it took to install

the reallity the download was to show you (i think.?..) how easy spyware can invade your computer.

after scanning and removing the many ad server software, keyloggers, data minors etc.. from my computer i proceeded to windows update to update my computer

after I got all the critical updates for my operating system I went back to find popup hell and still got the spyware installed again.

my version of windowsxp is useless and will not protect me from abuse spies and advertisers.

i next installed a firewall and i no longer feel safe

do you think your computer is safe?

download this and see.
Bazooka Adware and Spyware Scanner v1.13.01 (http://www.kephyr.com/spywarescanner/)

Some people believe that inorder to install programs on your computer you need to press the ok or cancel button when prompted at any internet website

the truth is that you do not need to press or see anything on your computer for a website or ad banner to inject a setup installation in your temp folder and silently install anthing they want without your permission or interaction..

do you feel safe?
answer the poll whith your thoughts and outcome after scanning your computer and report your results about any program you found that can remove it

cheers

I try to take preventative measures as well as running Ad-Aware and Spybot...I've been using Spyware Blaster and Spyware Guard on 5 systems for over a year now and they seem to keep me safe. But like any good anti virus, You have to keep them updated.

Stop visiting those Porn Sites egghead! :D :pthe bad part of this new advertising age is the fact that these programs are getting installed from more and more legit websites with no warning to surfers

bazooka spy scanner will scan for all known spyware and adware and will alert you to what is on your computer.

ad-aware and spybot do not notify you of some spyware and i think because they cannot remove tem yet

bazooka only reports what you have but does not have an engine to remve what it finds

it will tell you the steps to remove the spyware but it is not easy.

Bazooka Adware and Spyware Scanner detects a multitude of spyware, adware, trojan, keylogger, foistware and trackware components; sources of irritation that antivirus software does not deal with. The scanning process will only take about two seconds and tell you how to uninstall the invasive threat using simple step-by-step instructions or put you in contact with the vendor for the most up-to-date and safe uninstall instructions.

Download it here (http://www.kephyr.com/spywarescanner/)

start the program and check for updates and scan your computer.

pron?

is that what they poke me with?:Poke:

hehe

I don't understand ? Bazooka says it can detect 460+ items, SpySweeper for example says 21,459 with the latest update.

Where's a link to the spyware installing popup hell your talking about ?

[edit] Bazooka says I'm clean, guess SpyBot & SpySweeper are doing a nice job.
