"... a story about town where one can ride with no stoplights, no police, no danger to hit some cage or some dog."
This is a pretty impressive collection of photographs and short commentaries from a Ukrainian woman who rides her motorcycle through Chernobyl.
A sobering reminder of what happened back in '86.

Petard. Thanks for posting that site--trip through Chernobyl. I greatly enjoyed it--it would have been a remembered experience to have made the trip and see that lonliness and devastation. Found it quite moving and sad.

But remember...it was all due to an accident.

Yes, I realize that. I have no good answer for it. Accidents have always happened; I don't think they can be always prevented. So it's life, isn't it and Life is unfair and yes, the innocent shall suffer. But sometimes people do win in some aspect or other of their lives. I don't know how not to feel sad sometimes however but not sure that sadness makes the world a better place. If we would live with far fewer of the advantages of electricity, Chernobyl might not have been built but the world wants electric power. How can people not want that?

Very powerful read and photo display.I hope mankind has learned something from this.Myself,I believe in hydro electric, but the environmentalists don't want to disturb the natural path of the water, hence, the  much safer nuclear power plants.Imagine hundreds of years before it may be safe to live there again!
