I posted this awhile back in the benchmark thread http://www.techzonez.com/forums/showpost.php?p=54368&postcount=8

I think one is mobile and the other is multi processor (MP). I missed that one too.

The MP is for multiple processors, you can use it as single also. The Mobile is for laptops so it runs on less voltage to save on the battery and runs cooler, that means the Mobiles are the prime AMD chips.
Depending on what week the MP was made it could have locked multipliers so it would be harder to OC it. The Mobiles are all unlocked multipliers because they need the PowerNow feature in laptops for saving on the battery when the CPU isn't doing much, PowerNow works by switching the multipliers to change the MHZ output.
If you run both CPU's @stock settings the MP runs at 1.65volts, the Mobile runs at 1.45volts. Up the voltage on the Mobile to 1.65 and change the multiplier the Moble will scream in an OC state!
The 2600 MP is $127 at newegg, the 2600 Mobile is $99...which would you buy ?

I got the MP for 88 refurbished at new egg initially thinking it was the mobile... which is the one I wanted in the first place. I know that thing can scream...
