I can't save an animated AOL image with XN View, Advice?

Have you tried a different graphic product like The GImp?

Also, what image are you trying to save particularly? DO you have a link?

Try Adobe Image Ready i guess you can edit animations and stuff on that but , i'm not soo sure i dont se it dat much, i use photoshop, most of the time
