We received the Club3D Radeon 9700 Pro graphics card to our test laboratory and of course once again we ordered 10 liters of liquid nitrogen (LN2 -196°C). Our supplier for LN2 was very kind this time and we received 20 liters of liquid nitrogen and paid only for 10 liters (25 euros).

First we had to prepare R9700 Pro a little bit for the tests. We removed the shim which is glued around the R300 chip. After the shim was removed by using a sharp knife, our LN2 cooling solution fitted fine on the top of R300 GPU. At the same time doing this you can say bye bye to your warranty. Next we put some thermal grease on the DDR memory modules and glued small heatsinks on them.
