Strange occurence on XP IE

Hello:

My husband has Windows XP on his computer. Within the past 1 to 2 months, he has launched IE only to have a homepage come up that is obviously some type of weird Spyware. Then, two boxes come up indicating that two of his .sys files are infected by a trojan virus. Even after using McAffee Viruscan to clean and delete these items, it still keeps occurring. Additionally, even when setting the Homepage to a different homepage, IE completely ignores it, and continues to launch this crap!

The answer to all your problems can be solved here. Actually it sounds like a browser hijacker possibly combined with a Trojan of some kind...In most instances following the instructions outlined in that thread will rid you of most of the Malware issues.
