I'd be more inclined to try something along the lines of:
RetVal = Shell("C:\WINDOWS\notepad.exe C:\myfile.txt", 1)
The shell function should do it:
Dim RetVal
RetVal = Shell("C:\WINDOWS\notepad.exe", 1)
2nd argument is window style - look up shell in the Help file for details.
You'll be glad to know Mr. Nugent wants to run for Governor of Michigan in 2010. Not sure that he's entirely mastered the art of seeming your touchy-feely, voter-friendly kinda guy, though.
Sussed...but it's still a cracker.

It's a cracker.
Glad to help :)
TweakUI will fix it. In the left-hand pane, expand the Logon 'tree', click on Autologon, check the 'Logon automatically at system startup' checkbox, and enter your username in the Username textbox....
Edit: More precisely, as far as I know, it does - I'm no expert on gpedit, and its name (group policy editor) implies that its settings can be applied to groups. I have heard of people getting into...
It does, indeed. If you create a list of allowed programs without adding gpedit.msc to the list then you cannot run gpedit.msc to change the list. You can, presumably, but not easily afaik, edit the...
You can run:
gpedit.msc -> User Configuration -> Administrative Templates -> System -> Run only allowed Windows applications and create a list of progs users are allowed to run. If you take this...
Report Footer prints a single total at the end of the report. Page Footer prints a running total at the end of each page.
I'm no expert on Access (I use FoxPro) but totals definitely need to be in the Page Footer (not Detail) band. You say you got an error when you tried this. What was the error? Make sure the total...
Open the Security Centre. On the left under Resources, click "Change the way Security Centre alerts me". Uncheck "Automatic Updates", click OK.
Try this:
Run Windows Explorer
Navigate to C:\Windows\System32\Catroot2, right click
it, Rename the Catroot2 folder to Catroot2old.
Reboot your computer, and then run Windows
Update again....
I've got 2 copies of XP, plus Win2K all on one disk:

I use the 'virtual' XP for checking progs out, etc. When it's shutdown I have the option of...
When you clone a disk, you're obviously copying all the device drivers and settings from the 'source' m/c. Unless the 'target' PC is identical, you'll effectively be 'installing' a bunch of devices...
Yeah I've heard of this, many times, and it's garbage, every time.
See:

and many, many similar sites...
What is this word 'purchase'? Not familiar with it... ;)
