removed all cd/dvd related software- windvd, sonic, arcsoft, nero, mdvd,...

I have read alot on the net about i/o errors and other errors with this Toshiba Satellite w/ a (panasonic) matshita aka matusuita uj-810 CD/DVD rw drive. Ive still not been able to resolve it for...

Thanks for the advice, got my video working.... now im having CD/DVDROM errors....hmmm........

Should I remove some programs first, or just install windvd? Any particular version have good codecs? I would like to be able to play all video file extensions...

I somehow lost my codecs for MCE 2004 w/ sp2, and was wondering if someone can suggest how to get them replaced :confused:
