Computer won't recognise boot disk
I am trying to reboot from 6x XP setup disks but my computer won't recognise the first disk. I have gone into my setup and enabled it to seacrh from floppy disk for booting, but it still doesn't go for it.
Any ideas? At wits end......

have you tried booting up via the cd rom. If that is not an option try going to bootdisk.com and redownloading the boot disks. or can you test it on another pc with xp to see if you can get past the first disk.

Haven't got the CD-rom anymore. Just tried the boot disks in another computer and (whilst CD5 had a problem), the first CD worked fine and took me to the Windows setup screen.
But it dosn't in my main computer. It doesn't seem to read the A: properly even though the light comes on, and my BIOS is set up to check that first.
