    server security

Recently my site was accessed by an outside source and changed a couple of settings and wiped out some of the directories on my server...and to take further action, I would like to know steps to take to secure my Linux Reseller Hosting Server which uses Cpanel as an admin control panel. I couldn't find any other forums to post this in, so I hope it fits...

Do you know how your server was compromised?

Don't know what distro you are using, but here's a few links you may find useful.

Have you contacted your Host, they should be able to supply you with server logs.
