Accessing old registry files on a 2nd hard drive that used to run XP?

If you have 2 hard drives running (one running XP, and one that used to run XP but won't anymore because of new motherboard) how can i access the registry on the hard drive with the old version of XP?

Unless there is something that I don't yet know, changing out a motherboard shouldn't keep you from accessing that drive. Something else is causing your problem. Give us some more info including both MBs, HDs, etc.

I went from an Abit motherboard to an Asus motherboard, and Xp wouldn't boot off of that drive anymore. I can still access the files on that drive though if i slave it. Is there a way to access the old registry files that way so i can export my outlook express message rules and account info?
    Thanks

did you have file security on that drive before because if you did and reinstalled on another pc that could have locked you out.

Since you know that you can slave the drive, I would backup data files to the new drive and the format the old one
