    netlogon and sysvol

    Well here goes another request....

    what is the purpose of the netlogon and sysvol folders????

    (hope this is a bit easier than my last two requests??)

    All the services are folders. Thus netlogon and sysvol are both services and are stored as folders.

    should they be available to look at and edit when you log on using a normal user account??

    Can you edit them? I mean have you tried it? If so, you might want to check user permissions.

    I think you can hide these folders using strict rules depending on the OS and the account setup.

    I think you can use the group policy editor to limit access to the folders.

    You're right!

    I can't do anything with them. I thought I managed to yesterday but must have been dreaming. It would be good if I could hide them though although I spose that really doesn't matter.
