look, i knew this one long ago, a month maybe.
and i sont wanna install a beta release, just wait for official.
beta is crap as far as i know, and only download official drivers from ati,
not some hobo website as to speak

we'll just prefer to wait till full official drivers are released and from ati.com

no one is forcing you to install it. It's just available widely on the net via station drivers. I agree Beta drivers usually are not the way to go, they can be buggy, cause issues and so on.. but sometimes they add features, improve performance and can make your card better. If you like beta stuff try it out. If not wait for ATI to post up their official catalyst drivers.

I'll try these. If they don't work well, I'll rollback my driver. Takes less than 5 minutes to do so.

yea, i guess if u have system resore enabled.

but system resore is a piece of shit and i have it disabled.
it really isnt needed, just slows down ur computer, when playing games

btw, would it be legal to post a download link for Norton AntiVirus 2005 beta????

Seeing as it is/was a public beta, I don't see why not... though you might want to consult Reverend via private message about that.

You can use driver cleaner 3 to remove the driver, then reinstall the previous version. Works just the same.

When I was still using Nvidia cards, some Beta drivers were better than official ones.

Well, yes its true that certain betas can be buggy and so on but its what I'll call a preview.

I agree Piper...I love System Restore. Never seen it specifically cause a problem for a customer or anyone else. It's even gotten me out of a jam or 2.

Amen to that thought rik....it is by far one of the best features that Bill and Company could incorp into their OS. It saved my butt a few times and my customers as well.

By being able to quickly "undo" whatever software changes had been made that actually caused the problems. Just rolled it back to an earlier date and they were back in business.

    yea, ok.

but sometimes it causes some conflict while playing games and then causing your computer to crash

There's no way that can happen. How would you know in the first place it was system restore and not something else? All system restore does is occupy some hdd space really.
