this morning, when i tried to start my computer, i got this error..
Windows could not start. The following file is missing or corrupted \windows\system\vgaoem.fon.

You can attempt to repair this file by starting Windows setup using the original setup CD-ROM. Select 'r' at the first screen to start repair.
    .
So i went to the recovery console, but i cant get into it, because it says there is no Hard drive..i have no idea whats wrong, can anyone help me please, thank you a LOT.

thanks, yea ive seen that before, and ive tried. i get this far..
    4. When the Welcome to Setup screen is displayed, press R to start the Recovery Console
when i do that step it says, there is no hard drive found, so i cant restore. It just happened this morning, so i didnt change anything in BIOS or anywhere else, so i dont know why its not being found.

    Hello itsaceyo:

Do you need to install a 3rd party scsi/ide driver ? You will be given the option to do this when the windows install screen first comes up. Make sure you have a floppy with the appropriate drivers and follow the instructions to install 3rd party driver when it comes up.

it says, there is no hard drive found
Maybe you have a loose cable. Mine get loose sometimes - actually they don't anymore. I was using one of those cheap round cables - some of them have crappy connectors that I had to jiggle, or reconnect, to get a good connection once again..

Loose connectors are a headache because you may not be able to fix it at times. Even worse are those which become loose once in a while.
