I had set up a home network between my desktop and laptop, however, with college coming up, I won't be using the desktop anymore, so I wanted to know, how would I remove my computer from the workgroup and remove the network that was setup?

Welcome to Techzonez.
It really isn't needed but you can always change the workgroup name.
So it really doesn't matter if I remove it or not, correct? BTW, I use XP Pro.
No it doesn't because one of your machines will not be in the 2 machine network anymore. However,as suggested, you can check network connections and delete any shared folders and unshare any folders in windows explorer.Originally Posted by motionman04
