Post Use the Bink.nu BootCD Guide for Slipstreaming!

Now that Windows XP Service Pack 2 is available to some people, let me take the opportunity to remind all of our readers about Bink's excellent BootCD guide for slipstreaming a service pack into a Windows installation disk! The instructions, written for Windows 2000, work perfectly for Windows XP and Service Pack 2.

There's an easier way with this small Nlite program from Nuhi (msfn):

    Also Flexbeta Slipstreamer:

From experience, Nlite works better and creates bootable ISO's quickly.

There are few confirmed issues with nLite and XP SP2 RTM, so don't reported them any more until it's fixed.
    Working on it...
mmm. I wonder what issues he's referring to?

Well one issue that I ran into is that the uxtheme dll is now different for RTM so that didn't work in my install. But you can create an Unattended CD and change so many options with Windows. My slipstreamed SP2 ISO was created with Nlite.
