PCAMPR5 NDIS Protocol Driver "ERROR ID 7000" "NEED HELP"

    PLEASE HELP

Need help to following event ID. There is nothing to find in the net! (??)

    Eventtyp: Fehler
    Eventsource: Service Control Manager
    Eventkategory: Keine
    Event IDg: 7000
    Date: 07.08.2004
    time: 15:51:58
    user: not applicable
    Computer: DANIEL
    Beschreibung:
the service "PCAMPR5 NDIS Protocol Driver" was not started because of following error:
the system can not find the stated file

Now, I do not udnerstand the problem, since I couldn't find a service named the way, stated in the event id.

looked in the msconfig, but couldn't find anything that way.

I tought that one reason might be, that I crypted my drives with drivecrypt. However the C: drive is not crypted. So that can't be it can it????

I would appreciate your help for getting this problem fixed!

Usually I look on the net and get my solutions myself, however, this time I couldn't find anything.

    Thanx...

    Daniel

There are certain services that are not listed in the services administration console. You can find them HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\
I remember that 4 means disabled, but that is it. Remember to back up your registry before doing changes.
For what I saw PCAMPR5 NDIS Protocol Driver is a packet level driver similar to Wincap. Knowing that you might want to look at your Network connections properties and check which items is using (Client for Microsoft Network; File and Printer Sharing for Microsoft Network and TCP/IP) If nothing there looks suspicious check your Device Manager. If everything there is fine, I can just suggest to re-install the network drivers
