Does not seem like much compared to KAV's 97,203 *edit-97,235 (hourly "compiled" updates) database - but probably has good detection rates.

    **edit**

BB, your 50.000 is a typo I think

Any results anyone? Would this be better than AVAST? AVAST seems slow. Thank you

I still have yet to give this a try. Last weekend I found out my dog was pregnant. So we had to take her to the vet, and well, because she's a mutt, we will have a hard time getting rid of the puppies, the vet is going to take care of that. It's killing both my wife and me, but it is necessary. We don't have space for 1 dog, much less 7 puppies.

As soon as I get a chance, I'll try it out.

BB, I know it's a tough decision but it's the right one. If you don't plan on breeding the dog, then you really should get her fixed.

Many thanks to egghead for the cool .sig

I did a scan with this. It took 11 minutes. It did not search that many files and folders. AVAST took about 3 hours to scan but it searched far more files. IMO try EZ trust anti-virus in the other thread. Previously I tried AVG. It missed a lot of viruses. I then tried AVAST.

I got tired of waiting. I did something else and came back. It was still scanning. I watched TV for awhile. I do not have that much on my hard drive either.

yep, and at $300 I am so thrilled about it.. damn dog and their wild sex-capades.

Tomorrow she undergoes the knife and no more puppies.. but it is disheartening.

As for the AV, sometimes you have to configure it to scan properly. You cannot trust the default settings. Tweaking here and there will do the trick. I have yet to install this.. but I'm going to.. it's just been one hell of a two weeks at work.
