    Visual style access denied

Come up with a problem when trying to apply the uxtheme.dll hax. The way I apply the dll was to first boot into safe mode then simply overwrite the one in dllcache folder then in the system32 and then reboot. Tried to apply a theme and then it wouldn't load with a message saying access denied. Tried booting into repair mode and doing the same thing, however am still getting the problem when applying a theme. Have looked at the security audits with nothing to find, tried using File Mon & Reg Mon to see if any errors are occuring with nothing showing up.

This really isn't making too much sense right now.

Thanks for the reply, the exe did the job ok although now i've noticed a small change in the user accounts manager (one in control panel). Which is basically that there are no normal options for the Welcome screen or account images etc.

Do you know which version of Windows XP it's for? The one i'm using is XP + SP1.

It's supposed to be for all versions of XP, 2003 including XP SP2.

In that case, is there anywhere else I can get the options for the Welcome screen & user pictures besides in the registry?

Sorry I'm not familiar with that.
