Not being au fait with the finer points of site management I'm unsure of the difficulty level involved. Just a thought. Though bearing in mind the accessability of this forum & the number of postings from obviously non 'English speaking' backgrounds probably not a good one. 'We are here to serve' as it were and anything that detracted from the site's ease of use (especially as several senior members seem to be multi-lingual) defeats the object. Thought 2 though would be is there such a thing as a pan-lingual spell checker? And if not why not? There's an opening for someone. I don't mean cross language, that would lead to difficulties, just a straight forward linear checker for your given tongue. Then a translator prog could take over and convert to 'X' (English, French, German .....). Somebody could make a fortune with this idea copyrighted correctly. Ah well, just a thought

ieSpell is a free Internet Explorer browser extension that spell checks text input boxes on a webpage. It should come in particularly handy for users who do a lot of web-based text entry (e.g. web mails, forums, blogs, diaries). Even if your web application already includes spell checking functionality, you might still want to install this utility because it is definitely much faster than a server-side solution. Plus you get to store and use your personal word list across all your applications, instead of maintaining separate ones on each application.

The program installs as a new button in the IE toolbar (as well as a new menu item under "Tools") - after filling in a form, just hit the ieSpell button and it pops up a dialog, similar to the MS Word spell check. ieSpell also works (right-click menu only) on other IE based browsers such as SlimBrowser, CrazyBrowser, MSN, MyIE, etc.

ieSpell is not spyware or adware. It's free for personal use only. All other use requires a commercial license. See Licensing for more information.

I however have found that it screws up Office Updates when installed.

I guess the admins don't want to lag the TZ server with a spell checker. Besides, it takes the aoura of the "terrible spelling" of the member's posts!

Quite a neat idea which I fancied implimenting but no Firefox version
I've bookmarked the site though and will keep checking for a version. And guess what? Got home after 12 hrs at work (crap day) open broadband hit Outlook and bloody 'preparing to instal' pops up again. Did a roll-back to 0100 today and no probs but it's getting beyond a joke. I formatted and re-installed the other day & even that made no difference! Was told a while ago that Win looks for a certain file on HD partition Office is in & if it's there, as long as you have full install it will load whatever feature you're after direct from HD. Anyone know if this is correct? And if so filename I need to transfer from CD? Thanks.

some damned reg cleaner or something messed up mine as well. So I try what BB suggested - not working. I then pop in my CD and navigate to the file it's asking for http://img47.exs.cx/img47/2296/off1.jpg

I then get slapped in the face with this - I suppose I need to reinstall it all again and office update again.

The only way I seem to be able to stop this from happening (and it's neither a fix nor optimal) is to roll back to previous date when it wasn't happening and then religeously turn off the PC when I'm off to bed. When I boot up following day - no probs, but if I leave eg Check & Get running to clear up my bookmarks (which takes hours), when I come back and start Outlook up it pops again Grrrrrrrr. Then I have to repeat procedure
