TCP/IP has reached the security limit

TCP/IP has reached the security limit imposed on the number of concurrent TCP connect attempts - this is even after I applied the patch - in fact, in services I see this message:
The protected system file tcpip.sys was not restored to its original, valid version because the Windows File Protection restoration process was cancelled by user interaction, user name is ken. The file version of the bad file is 5.1.2600.2180.
    Anyone else experience this?

hmm, the lvllord patch works here, no problems.
XP SP2 Pro, US ENG, slip-streamed install.

http://www.lvllord.de/ (maybe that site's already known to you, but posted it just in case....)
    Cheers !!!
