    windows xp sp2 wont work!!!!

    whenever my comp starts downloading windoows xp serivice pack 2 every thing goes well and all but then all of a sudden it says acess denied. please click ok to go back and restore your comp to its recentsetting then it deletes evry thing it downloaded and tells me the update failed. wtf!! this has happened 2wice. my sis's computer downloaded withouta hitch why the duece is myne fudged up and also i cant get windows media player mini mode yes i click on the empty space on task bar and klick toolbars but windows media player is not in the list. i'm thinkng of rebooting mt who compuetr.. i have hp so my comp comes with the recovery disk and i have to dput it all on disks myself. what kind of disks shuld i use?. i knop thats alotta questions but if any one can answer em all i'd be eternally greaful i'm getting reallly fed up right about now

    There is a known issue with SP2 that if you have some sort of Spyware/Virus, the service pack will fail. Try running a spyware scan (using Ad-aware or Spybot Search and Destroy). after that, I would recommend running an online virus scan (I have better luck with the online type).

    You might to download the full admin installation package and perhaps use a download manager such as flashget or getright.
