    Woohoo I got cable

Well I got high speed cable installed up here in the boonies.I have had 1 way dialup satellite for about 3 years and man what a difference. No more tying up the phone,no more lost connections,no more 26k upload speeds,no more taking 2 to 5 minutes to get connected.I'm not sure if the download speeds are any greater yet or if there is a fair access limit, but for $5/mo. more than I was paying I can wirelessly use my laptop to boot.

Are you ready?Download 4mbps/Upload 384kbps.I know there are some fatter pipes amongst us but a vast improvement from waiting for a 26kbps modem signal to trigger a 1.5mbps download from satellite.I'm going to find a test site to clock it properly.Lynch,I think you had mentioned a few when you got your high speed connection.

I've been told by CenturyTel that it will be another 2 - 3 weeks before my dsl will be connected.
