    reformat file dilemma

hey guys I have a slight problem here... I have recently (last night) reformatted my C: drive due to a problem that I had last week regarding the system idle process... well it's all taken care of and computer is back to running at it's wonderful pace again.

the problem I'm having is that I backed up various files to a second hard drive and now I'm having problems accessing or transferring the file folders and files...

does anyone know how to remedy this situation... I'm logged into the system and of course have admin status in Win XP SP2. file sharing is enabled for my network....

    any clue guys?

whats the error message you are having?

you might need to take possession of the folder
    Procedure:
1.) Go to Safe Mode by hitting F8 as Windows loads, and then select Safe Mode
    2) Log on as Administrator
    3) Right click on the folder in question, and hit properties, select the security tab
    4) Go to the Advanced section, and select the Owner's tab - set the Administrators group as Owner.
