Now, here's the interesting thing i found today...
Today I downloaded the SISoftware Sandra benchmarking pack and was instructed run the benchmarks.
These are the ones I ran:
-CPU ARithmetic Benchmark
-CPU Multimedia Benchmark
-Cache and memory benchmark
All of these three i compared with inferior hardware and my CPU was running significantly slower
However, next I ran the Memory Bandwith Benchmark and it was astronomimcally higher than the others.
Is the CPU problem I'm having due to a non 64 bit OS? That's the answer i got from my friend but I thought I'd throw the info up here to get suggestions. I tried installing the trial XP-64 software and it came up with about 40 errors requiring me to do a system restore.
Anyone seen this kind of thing happen before? I hate having this great system and not being able to work it to the fullest
Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!
