Lighted PC cases Whats that all about?

Been looking at PC cases and I noticed that a lot of them have a lot
of blue lights in them. Why are they making so many of them like that?
It looks like doing that would only require a bigger power supply. I was looking
at a A-top AT-822 which has a square blue light on the bottem. I think
that blue thing on the bottem is a light? Is that correct and does anyone
have that case. What do they think of that case? What happen to the small
LED indicators they used. What was wrong with them instead the blue
    lights. Why so many lights??
    thank you,

Because it looks cool? Those lights don't consume a lot of power, at least not enough to think about a higher capcity power supply.

That craze it called modification. You know some people with cars mod it with things like decals, lights etc... so some people with computers mod their PC case to make em look cool. One example is Conan! Others do things like water cooling, some extremeists even turn their PC case into a CPU cum fish tank!

I have a chain steering wheel, complete with "speed" knob (politically correct term), for my MS Force Feedback wheel and dingle balls on my "lowrider" monitor.

Oh yeah I also remember the link posted somewhere here where someone encased his computer parts entirely in setting foam. Lol that was great.

Another one was a failure by someone who tried to do liquid cooling to his computer. He siliconed all the holes in his case and then flooded it with water and turned it on. Poof! All the lights went out!
