    File Conversion Trouble

i was given a couple of audio files from my boss that he needs to listen to. they are transcripts of a meeting that were recorded on a panasonic voice recorder. the files have the extension *.pvc and panasonics site says it is in a VM1 format. i have had no luck finding software to play (cant find panasonic software for download) or convert to anything else. any help or suggestions?

Panasonic has software for conversion to wav. See this faq page:

im not sure. the only thing i know is that they were created using a recorder, not even 110% posotive it is panasonic, but they are the only ones that i have seen that use the .pvc file type.

The software is available but need a model number to access it. The darn site won't even give me a list of model numbers.

    Yeah the link is here:

    http://catalog2.panasonic.com/webapp...delNo=RR-XR320

Click on SD at the bottom. Appears to be very proprietary, seems that you still need a cd and serial number to install.
