This is the first release that I've actually used the Control Center, is there any advantage to it or more settings open to tweak... or is just a resource hog app to 'skin' the display settings dialog screen

Also, I downloaded the combined package, yet I couldnt tell if Hydravision or WDM drivers were installed etc etc... running dual monitor on X800XT.

Yeah, I get that, but during installation and after installation of the drivers, there were no options to select to install that software... or it cant be found in the directories either, so I had to manually download separate Hydravision prog and install...

I never download the Catalyst Control Center, it's not worth it in my opinion. Too many bugs last time I tried it.

I'm trying it in this install in case there are some advantages. Doesn't seem to be buggy but I dont really see any advantages yet.

Yeah I dont see the advantages yet either, a lot of people are saying its just a control panel skin... however, I think it's supposed to have a 'Catalyst' AI that can dynamically change graphic profiles depending on your game or app using... also, I couldnt find where Opengl settings were, and also the OverRide section ??

I'll get those soon. After installing the 4.11 version, I kept getting BSODs

i dloaded the catalyst.. its for the first time i am using it... its a resource hog alrite.. you need to make sure the catalyst runtime is running in the background in order to open the catalyst control panel.... and its not got a lot of options as well.. just one for performance handling.... i dont know y is it 28 Mb in size.. cant c a lot of options also had to download the microsoft dot net framework for it.. what a waste of my time....i think i was better off without it....i think i want to uninstall it... its slowed down my pc by tons

Yeah, the CCentre is in its early days... really should be aimed at higher end cards and systems... although its not that Power-User good... might need to play around with it some more...
