    Picasa 2.0.0 (Build 18.77)

Picasa 2 is the first release of the software since Google acquired Picasa six months ago. Google made the software a free download. It supports Windows 98 and higher.

Picasa is software that helps you instantly find, edit and share all the pictures on your PC. Every time you open Picasa, it automatically locates all your pictures (even ones you forgot you had) and sorts them into visual albums organized by date with folder names you know. You can drag and drop to arrange your albums and make labels to create new groups. Picasa makes sure your pictures are always organized.

    Download: Picasa 2.0.0

    View: Picasa homepage

Well, when I installed it I was asked if it was to be available to all users or just this one...So it leads me to believe that it is dependant on the user accts. That or maybe keep your files encrypted or on seperate media...

Amazing software. I do have a lot of picture files on my PC. Some of them I forgot I had. I wish it had a setting to avoid searching in some folders. It is taking forever to do a scan, because I have lots and lots of pictures. I really don't want it to scan my art gallery, or web sites folder since they contain lots of pictures which I don't need picasa to search and take extra time. But cool software anyhow

Sounds like an interesting app... but with some slight (initial) limitations... I wonder how many people are going to get caught out with it
