Need help with a USB problem!

Hi guys, today I just had a problem with my USB cables. I have a digital camera which I insert the usb cable to everytime I'm going to upload pics. Today I connected the USB cable and a message says USB hubs current limit exceeded. I tried fixing it but nothing worked. Also, I have no other ports being occupied. I own a HP 7867 Windows ME. If anyone has any suggestions about how to fix this problem please reply. I would really appreciate it. Thanks

This is an educated guess, but it is only a guess. I suspect the usb setup has been corrupted. Go to Device Manager and remove USB Controllers then reboot machine to install them again. You will probably need Motherboard setup drivers to complete this task.
