Hi all. I've finally finished my Slimming Down Windows XP Guide. It took me a very long time...but I enjoyed doing it. (Actually, I'm a little bored now that it's completed.)

I'm very proud of it and the hard work I put into it. I think I did some pretty good things with it.

I wanted to share it with my friends here at Techzones. Some of you where there at the beginnings of my guide...way back when at TweakXP, and then at penguin's old Bit-Quest site.

A really nice lady in England who admired my work, gave be a site to place it on. Which really helped a lot when it came to putting the finishing touches on the guide...(as you will see at the bottom of each post by the number of times I edited each part of the guide.)

I have a smaller Windows Folder size now than I ever thought possible:

I set have set certain rules for myself, though:

1)...I can have absolutely no errors ever showing up in Event Viewer. ...Even if they are only benign DCOM errors.

2)...I can't use file compression.

3)...All the Windows Applications I use, and all my installed third-party programs, had better work.

Windows Folder (includes all files and sub-folders)…
