I made a post identifying with thread title ( Baddest AMD OC'ing MB) only to realize I posted the wrong pic!

OK I'm going to start on the brain transplant now. Crossing my fingers.

*edit - know that I've got my computer all apart I see what Fastgame was saying about the missing backplate. The case I bought was supplied with a standard back plate. Do they sell just the plates at some computer store?

Wow! what a difference. Makes my old motherboard look like a toy

You didn't know they made bigger toys ?

Just put everything together and see how artistic you can be with masking tape, I'm sure the plate will arrive in the mail

Screw the tape, i'll stick some lint free autobody shop rag in there if I have to. Tape makes a sticky mess (not that there's anything wrong with sticky messes)

Anyway, i've got the bios screen up now - waiting for guidance...

    1. Damn, I had a feeling I did not get the front panel lights correct. The CD, pwr, and HD light is staying on.

    2. Looks like HDD is not being detected. After I hit enter it pops up and says "detecting...." but when finished there is nothing listed.

Are the case cable connectors not labeled?

they are labeled but I was not sure which direction (+ or -) for instance: blue and white - which is positive? I picked blue.

Scared the hell out of me. There's a red and green light on the board itself and when I glanced inside (clear panel) all I saw was a bright orange glow - I thought it was shorting out and on fire!

Where's FG - I know he's around. He's probably waiting for me to do something funny like pop in my frontpage CD?

***edit - master is read slave is not - everything else is read but for CPU it says "unknown"

wait wait, what is the specific problem? You dont know which end of the IDE cable plugs into the motherboard?

I am finding it difficult to follow the conversation. Sorry.
