    DVD/CD plug

    another ish. Is this sound plug necessary for DVD or CD (I have plugged to my DVD as it's Master or should it go to CD?) It makes this slot unusable as it's in the way

    No you don't need that.

    And whats that thing plugged into the top PCI slot ?

    Oh that? I would understand if you called it the video card slot (laymen's term) It's the "neat-0-dragon" It was not working in one of the lower slots. Is the concern about heat and possible airflow blockage?

    Well maybe but the real reason is the light tan rectangular hole under the dark brown rectangular hole (both laymen terms ) share the same IRQ.
