I'm thinking of downloading and using a P2P program and dabbling in this a bit, but I heard that a lot of the P2P programs have bundled adware and all sorts of nasty things.
Are P2P's so problematic that I should just leave them alone?
Will I screw up something in my PC if I download one?
What P2P program do you recommend?
Thanks for your advice

P2Ps can be problematic depending on which software client you use.
No, if you DL a tried and tested P2P client.
I recommend Ares because -
1. It hasnt given me any virus/adware or malware associated problems.
2. Large Network
3. Uses less system resources (Memory and HD space)

I haven't heard of Ares before, but I like WinMX. Here's a regularly updated list that tells you whether a P2P app is clean or not: http://www.spywareinfo.com/articles/p2p/
