Is Norton AV 2005 as bad as people say?

I was planning on purchasing NAV 2005 but after reading several online reviews I am skeptical as it seems that NAV 2005 is a poor program in almost every respect. I've read some pretty nasty horror stories in relation to NAV 2005.

So, is NAV 2005 as bad as it sounds, worse? What has been the experience of those in the Techzonez Community who use it.

    Thanks

NAV 2004 is working sweet on one of my systems running XP Pro SP2.It came with the motherboard as a trial for 3 mos.I never used NAV products before because there are always stories about NAV being a system resource hog.Maybe the 2005 version has some problems though.I also use Panda Platinum 2005 with no problems.
The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.

It seems like this is the new trend. Just like bashing Microsoft, it's now hip to bash Norton

I'm using Norton AV 2004 which has been flawless until now. A reliable source I know recommended the 2005 version but I haven't tried it.

Norton has improved over the last few months, it's still a resource hog but it does at least catch lots of malware now.
I'm using Windows 7 - you got a problem with that?
