Outlook Express keeps going Off Line
Hello,
Thanks in advance for any assistance.
I've been using OE for years without any problem, however, recently at least a dozen times a day, I will check to see if I have email and there is an error on screen that says something to the effect of, Your computer is off line, would you like to continue working offline, or click here to Try Again.
I am on a very stable cable connection, and, in fact, when this error pops up, I instinctively glance at my modem which is fine. Additionally, I can surf fine. So I click "Try Again" and my email comes in.
But... its a pain, because I have my OE set to poll email every 5 minutes and when this error is on the screen, no email is downloaded until I click Try Again.
Thanks!
Vic

Maybe the option to "hang up after sending and receiving" has been checked?

How about the Connection settings? Tools/Accounts/Mail Tab - Connection should be Any Available. To change - Properties Button/Connection Tab/Uncheck 'Always connect to this account using".
