it's an awesome looking phone but I hear a lot of complaints about it.
You need to check your providers to see if they offer service for it or if you can unlock it. I'm not sure it's locked anyway if you just buy it without service but you'll be paying a lot more for it. Check http://www.howardforums.com/ - careful what you ask if you post. There's some real azzholes there. For instance: http://www.howardforums.com/showthre...9&page=1&pp=15
I have a cheapo (phone only-and it's free) Nokia 6016i on family plan shared minutes and it's one of the best. As long as there is one bar, i've got a connection. This phone works where many others fail.

Thanks for the advice. I've always liked the phone's look but only when I read CNET's review, I became really interested in it. If I want to buy it here, I can't really afford it, but one of the online stores is selling it for a total cost of $140.

My firend was warning me for two reasons:
    1) The adapter might not work here (220V) but I can probably get it here.
    2) It might be locked.

I'll try to get in touch with the store and see if they can help.

I'd rather stick with the Nokia models. The Samsung D500 looks nice but I've read enough feedback to scrap it off my list.

If I don't get the Razr, I'll definitely get a Nokia

Thanks for the tip but $389.99 that's way out of my budget.

Wirefly Mobile are selling it for $139.99 total.
