    More drwtsn32.exe errors

    Hey guys,
I made a previous tread with a very similar problem to this one but this time i have more info so hopefully someone can help.

I keep getting errors from Dr watson but these errors always occur when i am viewing folders containing video files (mpg, avi, wmv) it seems to happen at random sometimes nothing happens others drwtsn32.exe just locks up completely unless i go to task manager and end the process.I have searched around quite a bit today and have not found any answer as to what is causing this.I did however get the log file from drwtsn32 to post which will hopefully let whoever replies tell me exactly whats going on.Thanks as always.

Also note i have already attempted to do an XP repair from my XP cd.Coulkd this have something to do with using NTFS?I used to use FAT32 for a long time and have never had this problem a while back i converted to NTFS and still noticed no problem until recently.

    Application exception occurred:
    App: C:\WINDOWS\explorer.exe (pid=3808)

    Exception number: 80000007

Sounds like it could be a codec conflict.

Do you use windows media player as your default player?

Go to Add/Remove Programs in control panel and uninstall any 3rd party codec packages (i.e xvid, divx)

Also make sure you are running the latest version of Windows Media Player 10.

Download WMP10 from that page and install it over your current version. This will either upgrade or repair your current installation depending on which version you already have.

Hmm now that you mention it i do have a buch of codecs installed.I have had DivX installed for ages without conflict but i recently installed a bunch of other codecs such as Xvid,3ivX,and some other MPEG2 and audio codecs.I will uninstall those and see what happens.Do you know of any good MPEG2 and MPEG4 codecs i could install as alternatives to the ones i curently use?

Also yes i use WM10 as my default media program for almost everything, latest version. Thanks a ton for the reply.
