My MS Office PowerPoint Viewer 2003 is not working

It always has worked before, but now every time I try to open a pps file, I get the mesage: "Command line option Syntax error. Type Command /? for help." And when I do that, I get this:

starts a new instance of the MS/DOS command interpreter.
    [[drive:]path] [drive] [E:nnnnn] [/P] [/C string] [/MSG]

[[driveath] specifies the directory containing COMMAND.COM file
[device] specifies the device to use for command input and output
[/E:nnnnn] makes the new command interpreter permanent (can't exist)
[/C string] carries out the command specified by string. and then stops
[/MSG] specifies that all error messages be stored in memory. You need to specify /P with this switch

i HAVE NO IDEA OF WHICH ONE TO PICK IN MY SITUATION.

Can someone help me get to view my pps files?
I've created my own website...a collection of moving, sad and happy and humorous poems which I would like to share with others. They come from stories my dad used to tell me when I was a kid. If you could glance at my site and if you know of others who might enjoy it and perhaps tell them of it, I would be most appreciative. Thank you. Do the filenames contain any spaces in them ?

Have you tried reinstalling the viewer ?

Sometimes I wonder if I'll ever learn. My problem is not that I don't learn--I get impatient and HOPE I won't have to uninstall before I reinstall. This time it didn't work, so I wrote. After your response, Reverend, I uninstalled/reinstalled. It's working now. But ya know one thing that was interesting? One file had 3 spaces between the words and yet it now played.

    Thanks, Reveend.
