    That looks like it's running on Linux or something like that... definitely not windows... can anyone confirm this or not?

    Dang. I havent been able to view wmp vids like this. So I uninstalled wmp thru the add/remove programs thing, then re-installed the full wmp10. All I get is a moment or 2 of the vid then it goes blank. I hear it but cannot see it. Same prob as before. Maybe missing a codec?

    Yup sound like it. Try installing a codec pack.
