    Webcam image quality

I have a iCatch (VI) PC USB Camera.

I installed the default XP drivers and software (ZSMC USB PC Camera) that came with it.

I'm not able to take pictures with the Windows 'Scanners and Cameras Wizard' [screenshot]

Is there any way I can increase the image quality? I can only find options relating to frame rate with the capture software I have. The images here and here seem better than one I took.

    Try this driver:

    or

Then give webcamxp or webcamxp pro a shot with your camera.

Another thing, you are in a dark room with fluorescent lighting. That's really not as good as natural lighting or even incandescent lighting.

But as far as tweaking the camera's functions, you'll need some software like webcamxp to help you out with that AFAIK.
