    A good friend posted this on another board, I am reposting it as it is something that needs to be shared with others.

    Thought I would share this with you, I have known this person all my life. Today, I found out that his father landed on Omaha Beach that morning; and that his father and only one other survived the landings.

    That is really something to think about.

    And now I need a real stiff drink !

    It amazing that 60 plus years on and there are still strong emotions.. I hope they continue for another 60 + years!! We should never forget.
