Sabayon Linux, Gentoo for Dummies ?

Sabayon Linux is a live DVD designed to transform a computer into a powerful Gentoo Linux system in less than 5 minutes. Gentoo Linux is a Linux distribution powered by a software install manager engine called "Portage". Besides functioning as a live DVD, Sabayon Linux can also be installed on a hard disk, acting effectively as an easy-to-use Gentoo installation disk.

RiK - try these links for some tips, etc:

You might have to abandon a HW RAID and do a SW RAID instead. I haven't hade much luck with Ubuntu on RAID either.

Many thanks to egghead for the cool .sig

Ok, the LiveDVD works fine...but I can't get it to install on the HD.....from reports on the net I'm not the only one

Working with the LiveDVD for a day I don't see anything that would make me switch from PCLinuxOS or SUSE 10.1

    What's "Ubuntu "

Yes, except for backing up protected DVD's (don't know of any AnyDVD app's for Linux) I haven't used Win XP since This day

PCLinuxOS works real good and easy
