    Mozilla online update

I got a pop-up the other day that said FF had an update for me. I allowed it because it looked "Official". Is there such an automatic update or have I just screwed myself? DRB

It was updated to version 1.5.0.5 a few days ago.

    Firefox 1.5.0.5

Check your version. Help > About Mozilla Firefox.

Rev, Yes it's 1.5.0.5. I wasn't aware of an automatic update capability.
I think my putr has caught a "cold" sometime recently. unusual behavior. In my list of most recently used programs today was the command prompt which I haven't used for two weeks. Things like that. I'll do some scans. Thanks. DRB

To enable or disable automatic updates is in FF Options, Advanced.

Could well be the authors are in the process of patching them to work correctly with the new version. 2 extensions updated a couple of days ago so presumably the rest will follow.
