I was asking which ver# to use cause when I go to avast's home page they have d/l for every other O/S except xandros I'm not sure if they're all compatable or unique to a certain O/S. P/S sorry about posting in the wrong thread AGAIN!!!

Xandros is a debian based distro so you typically want to choose the DEB package.
From the Xandros FAQs:
Because Xandros Desktop is based on Debian GNU/Linux, .deb packages are the preferred format for installing new applications. However, you can use Xandros Networks to install .rpm packages. Using this method may allow you to successfully install RPM packages, but using DEB files whenever possible increases your probability of success and allows you to maintain your system more easily.
After you download the file to the computer, in Xandros Networks, click File > Install RPM File.
